Starting Over 12/06/25

Return to posting - 12/06/25

Well its been a long while since I posted, lots of reasons from illness to family, but after the debacle called life I'm back here to post, this time I will post pictures of the battles my friends and comrades play as well as my insane wargame plans. Interspersed I will also post some of the rule amendments we play for the rules we use.

The first posts will be pictures of my 25mm Napoleonic Armies so far, it started as a trip down memory lane as my first army was 25mm Naps and for years in inter-club and home games, over the years scales and periods came and went and so did my old army. Hence I decided t replace it, but with what etc., I wanted French and allies – Poles, Italians, Westphalian, Confederation of the Rhine, Bavarian and Swiss, plus a small French Imperial Guard then the allies to fight them the Russian and Prussian armies all later wars.

So with a plan the armies morphed to a size I will show you but to give you an idea the Russian army consists of 42 battalions of Infantry 24 figures each plus cavalry , artillery and staff, the Prussian 41 battalions of Infantry plus etc. this is still an ongoing project at the moment I'm completing the Italian Light infantry, the Italian Conscript Guard Infantry and the Swiss and yet to complete are the Westphalians, Polish and Guard.

Ill post a full list of the plans and update pictures next week, the rules we use are FoB a set of rules that are playable and don't give you the god approach control that a lot of rules give, but we have some amendments we use and some I want to add as our battles are large even in 15mm but certain things need tinkering and as a group I think we try to get the best compromise .

So that setting the scene for what I want to cover from a hobby perspective, but we will also post update regarding Lancashire Games releases and offers
