Hi guys sorry bee a while, the sale ended and thank you for the support, we are prepping the master moulds to run the extras needs to release the WoTR 10mm range, special offer soon for those. Other ranges will be cleaned and prepared for release the  15mm Russian 7yrs war are also on our release list. Along side this we are looking at the IT Miniatures 20mm range and hope to sort those out, we have 20mm Ancients, ACW and Napoleonic. We are busy hence the last few days being a deep breath before another plunge into the figure sorting and prepping.

On the Wargaming front not a lot happening, my big 25mm Collection is growing  and now the Westphalians are being painted, also the slow creep of Hinchliffe Polish Renaissance collection is moving forward with the addition of mounted and dismounted Dragoons.  After the last Battle ECW I address some more units adding more infantry and cavalry.

The actual wargame we played a week or so ago was ACW, I didnt take many pictures  but hopefully the end ones will show the   way it went.

In the game Paul and I where the Confederate faced by the Baddies Simon and Jack the union, on the Confederates I was the CinC and split the armies into 2 corps almost equal except Paul had the Artillery Reserve. The plan was for Paul on abut 40% of the table to initiate an attack to turn the Union left wing then using the reserve artillery on a hill tin the centre to eventually  realign to support the centre. My corps was to attack on the Confederate left and draw troops using the supporting cavalry to grab a central village, sadly the union arrived to quick so they formed a screen. My corps had 4 divisions three advanced and engaged one my smallest held in reserve for a specific part of the plan read below.

The game opened with the confederates getting off to a slow start and all the villages grabbed my the union so we had our work cut out - on the Left Paul swept forward and using his cavalry engaged the  Union whilst the infantry advanced, with the Reserve artillery in position the union where out gunned for a while. In the confederate centre as I said the cavalry didn't reach the objective now full of union infantry fell back to skirmish, on the confederate lett most of the infantry got up and the 2 lead started to pick off the union troops one division the extreme left was so slow, it eventually arriving as the union had  reached the end if the line with the 4th div holding in reserve.

After the Confederates slow attack a conflab and the attack began to exert pressure leading to the eventual collapse of the Union Right with Paul over running the Union Artillery reserve as well and turning inward to the centre. In the centre some union infantry tried to chase of the cavalry but Simon didn't send enough a couple of not good infantry which led to them running back to the village.

As my left wing continued putting pressure in the union right , Simon seeing the open centre launched three divisions to attacj the centre but mainly my Confederate left that looked vulnerable, oops a mistake.

As the Union centre surged forward confident it approached piece meal thinking they where turning a flank, only for my 4th Division and elements of the other forced back division to erupt from a wood behind my left flank and slam into the union troops ad sending them reeling.

At this point Simon called a retreat the union centre in disarray, the union right now out numbered as I said the slow division now in the front line versus tired shot up union troops and the union left in rout the only troops where in the union centre  unengaged but the 3 divisions where not enough. It was exciting dice was appalling for all at some point for all but we as the Victorious south had a better placement and better plan.

Ill up load pictures in a while
